PEI utilizes a state of the art 40,000-psi hydro blast pump like the one pictured above. This pump pressurizes the water and sends it down a high-pressure line to one of three attachments we carry and use depending on the project.
HEART OF THE SYSTEM
The hand held gun is one of the most versatile pieces of equipment in our fleet. With the hand held gun you can access many types of surfaces with the pressurized water. Vertical, horizontal, even inverted surfaces are accessible with this attachment. PEI owns and maintains a 4 gun blast configuration with full backup capabilities. This enables production rates 4X higher than single gun configurations. PEI utilizes a state of the art 40,000-psi hydro blast pump like the one pictured above. This pump pressurizes the water and sends it down a high-pressure line to one of three attachments we carry and use depending on the project.
In addition to the easy access afforded by the guns, we are also able to change the amount, direction, and concentration of the water to custom tune every project to minimize substrate damage.
PEI operates 4 different blast tip configurations that can cut concrete, remove skim coats, as well as blast off thin coatings while keeping substrate damage and water usage to a minimum.
With our gun systems we are the first in the country to be able to configure blast rates to effectively remove Asbestos Monokote fireproofing without a water issue.
PEI systems have been used to remove over 600,000sf of Monokote Asbestos Fireproofing in 2013 alone.
